The inspiration for Nero came from modern eclectic interiors, with a focus on fitting the preferences of the residents into current design trends. The analysis of the existing situation of the apartment and the desire to take into account the personality and needs of the clients were decisive factors in the formation of the interior.
One of the unique properties of Nero is its ability to reflect the clients' passion for collecting art objects. The design incorporates a visible area for the exhibition of their art collection, creating a focal point in the apartment. The general atmosphere is meant to highlight the clients' appetite for a luxurious way of life.
In terms of materials, Nero can be considered minimalist. The walls are mostly finished with paint, with accent walls covered in ceramic tiles or bronze metallic tiles. The ceilings and floors are finished with different types of wood, adding warmth and texture to the space.
From a functional point of view, the apartment was divided into two large areas: the parents' area and the child's area. The parents' area is located in the larger two-room apartment, while the child's area is reconfigured from the smaller unit. Each area can be accessed separately from the main entrance hall, providing privacy and flexibility for the family.
The design process for Nero started with the analysis of the clients' needs and preferences, as well as the existing situation of the apartment. The challenge was to transform an old-fashioned space into a modern and functional home that reflects the clients' way of life. The decision was made to demolish existing walls and build new compartments as needed, resulting in a seamless integration of the two apartments.
Nero is a testament to Alexandru Zingaliuc's creative and technical skills. The design combines minimalist trends with eclectic elements, creating a unique and stylish space for the young couple and their daughter. The darker color palette in the parents' area adds a touch of sophistication, while the child's area embraces warm natural wood tones and white plaster walls.
Nero has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements.
With its unique blend of minimalism and eclectic style, Nero is a testament to the power of design to transform spaces and enhance lifestyles.
